Foodstamp Madness

It’s reported in the Federal Government’s “Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program” (www.cbo.gov/budget) that in 2008 there were 28.2 million people on Foodstamps, and in 2011 there were 45.7 million people, an increase of 62%… and the budget for 2008 was $34.9 billion, and in 2011 the Foodstamp budget was $78 billion, an increase of 123%… This is spending gone amuck… We need to stop this madness and tell the U.S. citizenry what parents told their children when I was growing up: “Sorry, but we can’t afford it!”…
